Couple Information: Your partner's name or username, and the unique coupleCode and coupleId used to link your accounts.Profile Data: Usernames (e.g., user1Username, user2Username), family size, and meal preferences (dietary, cuisines). Content You Create within the Service:Tasks: Task descriptions, due dates, assigned users. Events: Event names, dates, times, types (personal/shared), and associated user/couple IDs. Financial Data: Shared expense details (category, description, amount, who made it), budget amounts, and financial goal details (title, amount, progress).Meal Planning Data: Meal names, dates, notes (e.g., recipe URLs), prep times, assigned users. Recipe Data: Names and URLs of favorite recipes, including Spoonacular IDs if applicable. Grocery List Items: Item names, quantities, categories, and purchased status.Nudges: Details related to created nudges. Communication Data: Records of your communications with our support team or through any in-app messaging features.Subscription Data: Information necessary for processing your subscription payments (e.g., plan chosen).
Note: We utilize third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe); we do not directly store your full payment card details. Information Collected Automatically: Usage Data: Information about how you access and use the Service, such as features used, time spent on certain sections, and crash reports. Device Information: Your mobile device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. Log Data: Server logs may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, and timestamps of your access. Information from Third Parties:Authentication Providers: If you sign in using third-party services (e.g., Google Sign-In), we receive basic profile information (like your email address and UID) from them as authorized by their privacy policies. Spoonacular API: When you use recipe search or grocery generation features, your search queries and selected recipe IDs are sent to Spoonacular. Their API responses (e.g., recipe details, ingredients) are then processed by our Service. Please review Spoonacular's privacy policy for details on their data practices. Payment Processors: Our payment processor (e.g., Stripe) provides us with transaction details (excluding full payment card numbers) to confirm your subscription status.

With Your Linked Partner: Information you create or share within the Service (e.g., tasks, shared events, financial data, meal plans, grocery lists, favorite recipes) is accessible to your linked partner to facilitate collaborative features.Third-Party Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate and maintain Merge (e.g., Firebase for database and authentication, Spoonacular API for recipe and ingredient data, analytics providers). These providers are granted access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes. Our Service is built on Google's Firebase platform, which incorporates robust security features for data storage and authentication. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Merge mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Merge ("us," "we," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
1. Definitions
Service: Refers to the Merge mobile application and all associated features, content, and services.
User/You: Refers to an individual accessing or using the Service.
Partner: Refers to another User with whom you have linked your account to form a Couple.
Couple: Refers to two linked User accounts within the Service.
Content: Refers to any data, text, images, or other material uploaded, created, or displayed by Users on the Service.
2. Eligibility and User Accounts
Age Restriction: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old.
Account Creation: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information (username, password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Couple Linking: The Service is designed for use by romantic partners. By linking with another user, you acknowledge and agree that certain data within the Service will be shared between you and your linked partner. You are responsible for ensuring you have the consent of your partner to share their information within the Service.
3. Use of the Service
Permitted Use: The Service is provided for your personal, non-commercial use as a couple to manage shared aspects of your life, including finances, tasks, events, and meal planning.
Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:

4. Subscriptions and Payments
Subscription Fee: Access to certain features of the Service requires a subscription fee of $9.99 per month.
Billing: Subscription fees are billed on a monthly basis and are typically charged to your chosen payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings within the application. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to subscribed features until that time. No refunds will be issued for partial subscription periods.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our subscription fees at any time. We will provide you with reasonable prior notice of any price changes.

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, are and will remain the exclusive property of Merge and its licensors.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Merge.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Merge makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
Merge does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
While we strive for accuracy, especially with third-party integrations like Spoonacular API, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any recipe information, nutritional data, or other data obtained through third-party services.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Merge, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Merge and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Service, by you or any person using your account; b) a breach of these Terms; or c) Content posted on the Service.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or contact us to initiate account deletion.
